Characteristics of Education of NRG
Departments of Kindergarten, Primary and Junior High focusing on personal interaction

Fundamental to the educational method of NRG is daily conversation between children and parents. This is based upon the perception that personal interaction is traditionally the quintessence of education to develop one's personality.

In a room for an individual interaction session, a teacher speaks to a child by using a picture book or other fascinating materials with the intention that the child will be interested in the things that appear in the book or materials and then be willing to talk about them with the teacher. The session comprises the teacher's creative talking to the child, sympathizing with his/her feelings, encouraging him/her to respond and giving him/her advice, all of which are planned to promote his/her vocabulary, his/her auditory skills, and his/her abilities to speak and think.

When a child is very young, personal interaction is carried out between the child and a teacher or a mother. As a child grows older, he/she comes to talk to other children or in a group and to be able to enjoy communicating with others.

The primary school curricula include promoting pupils' assertive acting, spontaneous thinking, and studying in groups. The individual interaction is designed to develop a pupil's literacy and his abilities to make sound judgment. Comprehensive learning with reference to the subjects being studied is effective for developing his/her abilities. As pupils advance in grades, their experiences are enriched through living and their knowledge increases through reading, experiments, the systematic study of subjects, and school trips.

The auditory-oral approach of education of NRG develops children's skills in communication and promptes their personality as individuals so that they will grow into responsible members of society who are able to overcome hearing-impairment, stand on their own feet, and contribute to Japan and the world.
